Meet Our AI Workplace Concierge, the Receptionist That Never Takes a Chai Break
Before we offered agentic AI development to clients, we wanted to build one properly ourselves. So we built an AI workplace concierge. It’s a smart reception kiosk that welcomes office visitors and looks after them from the moment they walk in until they reach their meeting room.
When someone steps up to the kiosk, it wakes on its own. It senses presence through the camera locally, without facial recognition or identity tracking, and without storing images. Visitors can speak to it or type. An animated concierge answers out loud with subtitles on screen, and it switches to text if voice isn’t available.
From there, it handles the front desk routine. It takes the visitor’s name, the purpose of the visit and who they’re meeting, and confirms everything before issuing a visitor pass with a unique reference and QR code. It then finds the host and lets them know their guest has arrived. If someone needs a meeting room, it searches by capacity and equipment and makes sure two bookings never land on the same slot. Lost visitors can ask for directions to any office or room across the building’s floors. Behind the scenes, the admin team sees every visitor, booking, notification and conversation on one dashboard.
